Sierra Leone, Saudi Arabia Discuss Bilateral Parliamentary Relations

Sierra Leone’s Charge d' Affaires in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has told the Saudi Arabian Sierra Leone Parliamentary Friendship Committee that exchanging parliamentary visits between Saudi and Sierra Leone parliamentarians can bolster interests of the two countries.

Mr. Umaru S. Dura made the remarks at a dinner organized by the Friendship Committee of the Saudi Consultative Assembly (Shura Council) at their headquarters in Riyadh last Monday.

The visits, the Charge d' Affaires added, will boost Saudi Arabia – Sierra Leone relations, notably between the Saudi Consultative Council and the Sierra Leone Parliament.

Responding, Dr. Prince Khalid Bin Abdullah Almeshari Al- Saud of Saudi Arabia’s Consultative Assembly and Chairman of the Saudi Arabian Sierra Leone Parliamentary Friendship Committee said he looks forward to consolidating the bilateral relations between his country and Sierra Leone with the view of sustaining the friendship bonds.

During the meeting, they discussed a number of topics and issues of common concern between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Sierra Leone, including bilateral parliamentary relations between the two countries and ways of enhancing them.
